What a difference a day makes! Trees and hills larger than me!!
Fantastic views. Unfortunately the pictures do not do it justice.The lovely shades of green contrasting with the red soil make great photo opportunities but never seem to come out as good when you see them.
we certainly saw the ranges at their best. Everything is green with only a hint of the red soil. a lady was saying that she was there 5 years a go and the place was absolutely denuded. Not a blade of grass and all the trees had lost thieir leaves. How quickly it all recovers.
We didn't realise how far the Flinders stretch; from Port Augusta to Lyndhurst in the north. On the way out of Wilpena Pound we saw two fantastic gorges one had a trail outlining the geological history from 480 million yaers ago to 650 million years ago. The other was Pachilna Gorge
