Warrumbungles

The Warrumbungles is the
place to walk and boy did we walk. The first day we took a pleasant
stroll around the valley and looked at the wildflowers. The prettiest
of which we later discovered to be weeds. Later I will try to put on a
composite pic of all these flowers. The next day we did a more
challenging walk to a cave. It was rated mederate to steep and it was.
Then it rained and so our next walk was a soggy affair 
and we thought
that these walk would see us in good stead for the BIG ONE.
Wrong!!
This walk was to the high tops around the Breadknife (See pic) six hour
walk all up or down with some rock climbing in the middle. Lesley was
ready to disown me. We had lunch at the top and, was the view worth it
- NO but it was spectacluar.
We reckoned we deserved a special
treat so we ran down the hill - mountain to get to the shop before it
closed for an ice cream
